A hex region, new every match
Meadow, cloudpine forest, cragheart ridge, creek and lake — and salvage sites where the wreckage came down. Two resources to manage: coin and salvage.
A stand-alone strategy game · set in the world of The Great Cloud
A new region has fallen out of the Cloud. Four expeditions race to claim it. In thirty turns it will be gone — and nobody can agree on where it goes.
01 — The premise
Every so often the Great Cloud lets go of something: a stretch of meadow, a ridge, a lake with no river feeding it. People call it a Cloudfall. It arrives whole, scattered with wreckage that glints like the inside of a shell, and it does not stay.
The factions each have a theory about why. None of them can prove it. All of them send an expedition anyway — because whatever a Cloudfall is, the salvage is real, and so is the ground you hold when the edges start to shimmer.
You lead one of those expeditions. Found camps, raise outposts, field wardens, archers and riders, and hold more of the region than anyone else when it dissolves.
02 — How it plays
No waiting for three other people to finish their turn. Everyone plans in secret at the same time, then all the orders resolve together.
Move, recruit, build, settle or upgrade. Your rivals are doing the same and you cannot see what they chose.
Armies cross, walls hold or fail, camps change hands. You watch it play out on the board — then plan again.
Be the last expedition with a hall standing, hold the most territory, or finish with the highest score when the Cloudfall dissolves.
Meadow, cloudpine forest, cragheart ridge, creek and lake — and salvage sites where the wreckage came down. Two resources to manage: coin and salvage.
Settle neutral ground, grow what you hold, and ring it with a timber palisade or dressed stone before someone comes to test it.
In the final turns the board's rim takes on the Cloud's pearl-opal sheen. Nothing about the rules changes. You will still feel the clock.
03 — Your expedition
Units earn experience and level up. You read their rank from what they carry, not from a number floating over their heads.
Melee · holds ground
The line. Wardens take the hex and keep it, and they are who you want standing on a wall.
Ranged · punishes approach
Sights ground through salvaged lenses. Fragile up close, decisive from two hexes away.
Mounted · covers distance
Fast enough to take an undefended camp before its owner's orders resolve. Not built to stay.
04 — Who sent you
Fly a faction's livery or go out unaffiliated as a free expedition. Liveries are cosmetic, unlocked by playing, and never sold.
Knowledge & guidance
Came to catalogue the Cloudfall. Already certain what it is. Revising.
Reasoning & planning
Planned this expedition before the land fell. Will not say how.
Parallel possibilities
Sent two expeditions with opposite orders. Considers both a success.
Collective cooperation
Nobody is in charge. The camps go up faster than anyone else's regardless.
Innovation & experiment
Here for the wreck cores. Has been asked, repeatedly, to stop touching them.
05 — The deal
No ads, no in-app purchases, no battle pass. Every livery unlocks through play.
No sign-up, no analytics, no third-party SDKs inside the app. It asks for one permission: internet, for multiplayer.
A full match against three bot expeditions works in airplane mode. Bots also fill empty seats and take over for anyone who drops.
Share a room code and play directly with up to three friends — there is no game server in the middle. Orders are sealed until everyone has committed, so nobody sees yours early. Playing online means the other players' devices can see your IP address, as with any direct connection.

Same world, bigger map
Expeditions is a side door. The main hall is a browser-first 3D MMORPG with a living, player-driven economy, deep crafting and the same five factions arguing about the same Cloud.
